Youth Talent Showdown 2008, (YTS) is an opportunity for Youths between the ages of 15 - 25 to showcase their talents as a group or solo performance. Not only are Youths encouraged to participate in a community event, they also learn how they to be a star - perhaps as the next Canadian Idol! Beside the Talent Showdown, StreetFest, geared towards a youthful audience features performances and activities.
Who
If you're a jammer, head banger, rhyme twister, pianist, vocalist, break dancer or even a toe-tapping entertainer, and between the ages of 15 to 25, register today to perform solo or as a group.
When & Where
Registration Deadline: Wednesday, July 2, 2008, 5PM
Auditions: Saturday, July 12, 2008, at Vancouver Chinatown BIA Society Office
Preliminaries: Saturday, July 26, 2008, at the Vancouver Chinatown Night Market
Finals: Sunday, August 10, 2008, at the 9th Vancouver Chinatown Festival Main Stage
How
- Read contest Rules and Regulations.
- Download and complete the Application Formand Release and Waivers.
- Mail/Drop off the completed Application Form, Release and Waivers, along with CAD $20 registration fee to Vancouver Chinatown BIA Society (508 Taylor Street, Vancouver, BC V6B 6M4 or fax: 604 632 3809).
- Please make cheque payable to Vancouver Chinatown BIA Society . All registrations must reach Vancouver Chinatown BIA Society by Wednesday, July 2, 2008, 5PM.
- Practice and get ready for the auditions!
