Chinatown Security patrol project was launched by Vancouver Chinatown Merchants Association, together with the cooperation of the merchants in the area. They hire the security guards to do a 24 hours patrolling in Chinatown to prevent crimes. The project is successful. Recently, Vancouver Chinatown BIA Society also participates in this joint project to further enhance the better environment in the Chinatown area.
