Neighbours First is a non-profit community program serving the Gastown and Chinatown areas in the City of Vancouver. The program provides a focal point for identification of, and action on, concerns related to security, safety, and hospitality to make the area a safe and pleasant environment in which to reside, do business or visit. 
Program activities include promotion and co-ordination of crime prevention programs such as community watch, street clean-up, and other public awareness initiatives.
Neighbours First is currently starting a community foot patrol program to augment current efforts to provide a safe crime-free environment by acting as an extra set of eyes and ears for the community and the police, looking for anything out of the ordinary, and to provide a highly visible presence in the community as a deterrent to criminal activity. In order for this program to achieve its goal of making the community safe and crime-free, we need volunteers like you.
