The annual Vancouver Chinatown Festival would not be possible without the support of volunteers.   We need approximately 300 volunteers over the 2-day event!

If you wish to know more about Vancouver's historic Chinatown, or want to re-establish your tides with the renewed Chinatown, or would like to make new friends, or simply want to enjoy a fun event, please volunteer with us!

We are looking for volunteers in the following areas:

Information Booth / Greeters
- Answer public inquiries, give directions

Entertainers Check-in
- Greet and register entertainers

Volunteer Check-in
- Greet and sign in volunteers

Walking Tour Guides / Assistants
- Walking tour registrations, guide tours of ten to visit clan associations and other Chinatown attractions

Children's Activities
- Face painting, Balloon Twisting, etc.

Booth Activities
- man booths and run games

Food Booths
- Serve food, no cooking involved

Set Up / Tear Down
- Set up and take down booths, move chairs, tables, tents, etc.

Loading / Transportation
- Loading and unloading where needed

Enviro Crew
- Keep the site tidy

Floaters
- Fill in where needed

Administration
- Assist with various office tasks before and after the Festival.

Benefits to Volunteers:

• Volunteers will enhance their communication skills and/or learn new skills, meet and interact with a diverse community of people, and gain experience in special events.
• Volunteers will receive a Certificate (or letter) of Appreciation for their efforts.
• Complimentary refreshments will be available during the Festival.
• Volunteers will have the perfect chance to discover the secrets of Vancouver's historic Chinatown!
