Opening Ceremony
Representatives from the three levels of government and invited guests will officiate the opening of the 6 th Vancouver Chinatown Festival.

12 p.m. - 1 p.m.

Chinese Folk Art Demonstrations
Learn the secrets to create the different Chinese Folk Art items at the booths.

12 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Chinatown Heritage and Food Tasting Walking Tour
Register at any of the Info Booths on-site or pre-register here <link to mail > to reserve your spot!   Each tour lasts approximately 2 hours.

12 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Tour starts every half hour.  

Last tour is 3 p.m.

Origami, Face painting, Child Find I.D., photos with cops and fire fighters, and much more!

Vancouver Police Car Show
Vancouver Police Motorcycles, Smart Cars, Matrix, and the regular ones on display!

12 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Kids Bike Rodeo
Organized by Chinese Community Policing Centre, kids will learn bike safety.   For kids 3 to 10 years old.   Don't forget to bring your helmets!

12 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Ambulance Show
Compare the modern and vintage ambulances on site!

12 p.m. - 4 p.m.

BMX Bike Stunts
Christophe Bioules, the 1993 World Champion, and the Expert Jumper with the highest jump world record and his cast of pro riders will thrill the crowd with their dare devil and highflying stunts of extreme courage.

Inflatable Games and Carnival Games
Rock Wall, Private Ships, Strikers...lots of prizes and fun!

The 6th Vancouver Chinatown Festival will take place in the heart of Vancouver's historic Chinatown on Columbia Street (the segment between Keefer & Pender Street) and on Keefer Street (the segment between Carrall and Columbia Street).   Traffic to Columbia and Keefer Street where the Festival is taking place will be closed starting from 6 a.m. on August 6 until 9 p.m. on August 7.

Located east of downtown Vancouver, Vancouver Chinatown is easy to get to.

By SkyTrain*:

The closest SkyTrain stop is the " Stadium - Chinatown " Station.   Look for the sign "Chinatown" and walk east down Keefer Street for three blocks.

By Bus*:

Either #22 Knight or #19 Metrotown from Downtown Vancouver.   Get off the bus at the first stop after the Millennium Gate.

Walk:

Follow the Silk Road banners from Downtown Vancouver Public Library.   Click here for Silk Road Route Map .

The route proceeds north and east from Library Square to the Keefer Steps where it descends towards Chinatown. Follow the Silk Road banners to Pender or Keefer Street and you are at the Festival once you hit Columbia Street.
