Biking
Walking from Downtown to Chinatown is convenient.
(eg: from Canada Place / Burrard St.) Starting
from West Pender St. and heading east, you will
pass through Granville St., Homer St., & Cambie
St. (about 6 to 8 blocks). When you walk past
Cambie St., you will see the Millennium Gate erected
across the West Pender St. near Abbott St.. When
you get through the Gate on Pender St., you already
arrive at the Chinatown area. Or just follow the
Silk Road banners from Downtown Vancouver Public
Library, it is only a 15 minutes walk to Chinatown

There are many designated bicycle
routes in Vancouver area of which some can bring
you to Chinatown area such as the bicycle routes
on Pender St., Keefer St., Union St. and Quebec

Driving
If you are coming from the United States (eg:
Seattle, WA), drive along Highway I-5 heading
north. The I-5 will merge with Highway 99 after
crossing the border. Keep heading north on Hwy
99. The Hwy 99 will bring you to Vancouver after
passing the Oak Street Bridge. Exit to Marine
Drive East after crossing the Oak Street Bridge.
Heading east on Marine Drive East and turn left
on Main St. Heading north on Main St. for about
15 to 20 minutes drive will bring you to Chinatown
area. (East Georgia St., Keefer St., East Pender
St.). You can turn left on Keefer St. and find
parking inside the parkade of Chinatown Plaza.
If you are driving from the East
Coast using the Trans-Canada highway (Highway
1), take the exit at East Hastings St. and heading
west after entering Vancouver, BC. It will take
you about 10 to 15 minutes drive on East Hastings
St. before bringing you to Main St. Turn left
on Main St. and then you are entering Chinatown
area (East Pender St., Keefer St., East Georgia
St.). You can turn right on Keefer St. and find
parking inside the parkade of Chinatown Plaza.
