Chinese Cultural Centre Museum & Archives
555 Columbia St. (Map)

Opened since 1998, the Museum & Archives is a project initiated and completed by the Chinese Cultural Centre. The building's exterior is styled in the Ming Dynasty period with a modern western style interior. This unique blend of East and West reflects the Chinese's link to the past and future.

The Museum is dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of Chinese Canadians and fostering an appreciation of traditional and contemporary Chinese arts. Many year round programs of exhibits and events on topics such as the Gold Rush or traditional Chinese calligraphy are offered. "From Generation to Generation", the Museum's permanent exhibit tells the story of Chinese in Canada from the Gold Rush in 1858 to present. The Chinese Cultural Centre Museum & Archives is also home to the Chinese Canadian Military Museum that recounts the life and times of Chinese Canadian veterans in World War II.
